Our People

The grown-ups behind the curtain

Working performers and trained teachers who love helping kids find their voice.

Amanda Dwyer, founder of Ensemble Kids

Amanda Dwyer

Owner and Artistic Director

Amanda founded Ensemble Kids in 2007 to bring her love of musical theatre to the youth of Halton Hills, and she feels so humbled entering the 19th year of EK classes.

She is a graduate of the Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts with an advanced diploma in Musical Theatre. She performed in professional productions in Toronto, Montreal and across the GTA, appeared in the Toronto Fringe Festival, and premiered a new musical there in 2010.

Amanda has taught many, many kids over the years. Some have come back to volunteer and teach with EK, and some have made the arts their career. She has worked as a guest artist, led workshops, and most recently was an adjudicator for the National Theatre School Festival.

Inspiring children to find their voice and build confidence is her passion, and she is excited to keep it going as EK approaches its 20th year.
